Postdoctoral opportunities in the Ward Lab

University of California, Berkeley

The NBL opportunities board lists postdoctoral openings with Michael Ward’s lab in neuroscience and molecular therapeutics. Check directly with the lab for current openings and application requirements.

Experimental and computational neuroscience

The Ward Lab studies neurodegeneration, lysosomal dysfunction, and RNA metabolism using human iPSC-derived neurons, functional genomics, cell biology, and computational approaches.

The May 16, 2026 letter announced up to three postdoctoral positions with a three-month rolling review period. That stated window has passed. Contact the lab about current availability before preparing an application.

Requirements in the original listing

The original notice requested a CV with publications, an NIH-style biographical sketch, contact details for three references, and a one-page research proposal, combined in a single PDF.

Strong PhD training and a publication record were requested. The notice welcomed candidates with iPSC or neuronal cell biology, CRISPR screens, biochemistry, imaging, computational biology, or machine learning experience.
